It is estimated that 5% of Americans believe the moon landing was faked.  At the risk of losing 5% of my viewers, here are the top five debunked.

  1. the flag is waving – How can this be when there is no wind on the moon?  Simple.  The flag is attached to a rod so it does not hang limp.
  2. there are no stars in the photos – The exposure length on the camera necessary to get the astronaut images was not long enough to get the star images.
  3. the shadows aren’t right – the shadows were created not just by sunlight, but also by light reflecting from the surface
  4. you can’t see Armstrong’s camera in the famous shot of Aldrin – in Armstrong’s reflection in Aldrin’s visor, he appears to not be holding a camera, but he is actually using a camera mounted on the front of his suit.  Did you expect him to be holding one like a Japanese tourist?
  5. Stanley Kubrick admitted to faking it – The legendary director, who directed “2001:  A Space Odyssey”, supposedly admitted to it in an interview before his death.  This is convincing to Internet denizens, but the interview and subsequent video is what the landings were purported to be – FAKE.
