Well, I think I have got the basics down and I’m ready to reach out to my peers in the education community.  In particular, the site right now is designed to help American History teachers.  (Although I hope non-teachers who love American History will find it entertaining.)  In the future, I hope to expand to cover World History also.  But first, I am going to work on the period up to and including Reconstruction.  In order to get the site up for the 2019-2020 year, I decided to concentrate on the second half of American History because that is all I taught for the last twenty years of my career.  Many states limit their American History courses to post-Civil War.  For now, I am aiming at anyone who teaches American History at whatever grade level.  I feel the information can be applied even at the elementary level.  The site is conveniently organized with the Presidents in alphabetical order and the other anecdotes and trivia organized chronologically by time periods, starting with the Wild West.  Explore, read, and share with your students.

If anyone has any ideas about other categories, let me know.  I am already working on topics like “Today in American History” and “American History YouTube Videos”.
